If I had to sell just shades in my NYC storefront, I'd be so bored. My interest in garden and architectural fragments and decoration is my passion. From a Greenwich Conn estate, I found these cast iron wonders years ago out of an estate of a prominent decorator who had them in his collection for years. They were cast about 1880 maybe earlier. The patina is well earned. They can be repurposed on a new set of posts, or use them in the garden, on a mantle... The surface is top drawer. It's amazing that they've seen over 140 years.
